Cavs focus on improving physicality for Game 2

With Green on the shelf, the Cavaliers coasted to a 15-point win in Oakland, and perhaps more importantly, Andrew Bogut got hurt, removing a critical component of Golden State's rotation for the final two games of the championship series.

Taking care of the ball will be equally important after that became a major problem in the opener for Cleveland, which committed 20 turnovers in an uncharacteristically sloppy game. "I wouldn't be in this if I was thinking one game". But it was an illusion as Curry scored seven points in a 17-7 run, hitting a three-pointer at the end of that stretch that pushed the lead to 16 just before the end of the third quarter. The Pittsburgh Penguins won 14 in a row during their 1992 and 1993 runs in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Golden State converted the turnovers and offensive rebounds into 39 points, allowing the Warriors to pull away despite shooting just 42.5 percent. Only Tim Duncan (63) and Robert Horry (61) have more.

Assistant coach Mike Brown has filled in for Kerr during his absence as the Warriors have gone undefeated in the postseason.

Kerr received a standing ovation from the Warriors faithful and hugged Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue as he walked out to the court before the game.

Steve Kerr received a rousing ovation Sunday night as he returned to the bench at last. Hubie Brown also was honored as a co-recipient.

Heroes emerge from horror of London terror attack
Law enforcement raided a block of flats in east London around 7 a.m. Saturday night's attack came just days ahead of the election.

Dallas Coach Rick Carlisle presented Attles his award - named for the late Hall of Fame Pistons coach - on behalf of the National Basketball Coaches Association.

The 2017 NBA Finals continue Sunday evening with Game 2 tipping off at 5 p.m. PT.

Even though Cleveland star LeBron James is no fan of the short-sleeved look, it is one that works for the Cavs. "He's just a man that we really, really respect and hope that he keeps on doing it". But we've still got to play. "We have enough guys who can score on this team that if one guy can't get it going, we can go other places".

Kerr, who coached all 82 games during the regular season and the first two games of the first-round playoff series against Portland before stepping aside, is clearly feeling good again. He attended the pregame news conference and said he had not yet told his players that he would be back coaching.

Kerr stopped guiding this season's National Basketball Association win leaders from the sidelines after two playoff triumphs over Portland and was replaced by assistant coach Mike Brown. I didn't send out a group text.

Before the game, Lue said it's good to have Kerr back on the sideline for the Finals.
