Russia's Putin denies having compromising information on Trump

Russia's Putin denies having compromising information on Trump

Why, did we have some special relationship with him?

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismisses the allegation that Russians meddled in the USA election.

Putin also told NBC's Kelly that he's not aware of any meetings between Kislyak and officials from the Trump campaign, and that he doesn't talk to Russian ambassadors every day.

US intelligence agencies concluded in January that Moscow tried to tilt the election campaign in Trump's favour, including by hacking into the emails of senior Democrats, a charge the Kremlin denies.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said hackers trying to influence last year's USA election "could have been from anywhere", questioning findings by American intelligence that Russia was behind the operation.

Lawmakers should get the chance to hear from fired FBI Director James Comey - and President Donald Trump "is better served by getting all this information out".

A member of the Senate intelligence committee says "we've seen no smoking gun at this point" regarding collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 USA presidential election.

Putin said he never met with Trump during the latter's visits to Moscow, adding that a lot of Americans and companies come to Russian Federation and saying the country doesn't gather information on them.

The Russian leader said that at the anniversary gala for Russian television network RT in December 2015, his interactions with Flynn were both brief and superficial, according to a partial transcript released by NBC.

Islamic State group claims responsibility for the London attacks
The prime minister is set to lead a meeting of the government emergency response committee Sunday, British officials added. London's Metropolitan Police said they will release the identities of the attackers "as soon as operationally possible".

Kelly pushed back at the assertion, saying it sounded like Putin's attempt to justify his government's attempts to influence elections.

Putin downplayed Flynn's appearance with him at a December 2015 gala dinner in honour of the Russian television network Russia Today (RT), which USA officials consider a state-run propaganda outlet.

At one point, the Russia president nearly scolded Megyn Kelly for asking a question about alleged meetings between U.S. Russian ambassador and Trump aides.

"When I came to the event at our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman, and someone else was sitting down on my other side", Putin said. "You and I met yesterday evening". Then we talked about some other stuff. Mr Putin said he knew nothing about it and that he had not discussed with Ambassador Sergey Kislyak any meeting with Mr Kushner. Later I said good bye, got up and left.

Megyn Kelly sits down for an interview with Vladimir Putin about Michael Flynn on June 4, 2017.

Flynn has declined to testify to the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee about his Russian ties, invoking his constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination.

The idea of a damaging Russian file on Trump "is just another piece of nonsense", Putin said.

"We're ready to listen to comments when it is done constructively, with the goal of establishing a relationship, creating a common environment".
