Game of Thrones season 7 may be just around the corner but eyes are, inevitably, being drawn towards the final season. EW pressed the issue further, asking, "So as of now, the final season could air in 2018 and / or in 2019 depending on their needs?"

"Yeah. They have to write the episodes and figure out the production schedule".

Luckily, Emilia Clarke is feeling pretty good about her character's moral compass - and Dany's chances of survival - as we approach the final two seasons of HBO's hit.

Read the interview in full here. That's why Game of Thrones' upcoming season will be premiering a few months later than its usual timeslot, despite the fact that it contains fewer episodes than normal. What they're doing is monumental.

One of the areas that could feel the impact is Qatar's hosting of the World Cup, football's biggest event, in seven years' time. People travelling to or from Qatar may find the journey less convenient than usual, the minister added.

Bloys also confirmed that the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoffs now in development will only air sometime after Season 8 concludes, as HBO wants to give the original series "its proper send off first".

In a recent interview, actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, revealed that she could see Sansa going over to the dark side and possibly even becoming more like Cersei Lannister. "I mean, the world's f-king ending and he's in real danger, but at least he's in a place where people will listen to him when he's warning them, and he can get right down to business". The idea is not to do four shows. Also, this is a long-term plan. The bar set by [Benioff and Weiss] is so high that my hope is to get one show that lives up to it. We have some wonderful writers who want to take a shot at this.

While this is really all for the better-writers Dan Weiss and David Benioff want to make sure we get the epic conclusion the series deserves-it's disappointing to hear that we might need to wait another two years to see the show complete its run. But viewers will surely love to hear them communicate with each other in the show.

Game of Thrones season 7 will debut on July 16.
