Real bags 12th European title

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Real Madrid beat Juventus 4-1 in a memorable Champions League final full of attacking verve and brilliant goals Saturday as the Spaniards won the title for the third time in four years and 12th in all.

Zidane's cool demeanour has helped Madrid cope with the intense pressure at the Bernabeu and now, just 17 months into his reign, he is reaping the rewards as Real celebrate a first La Liga and Champions League double since 1958.

REAL MADRID dominate Uefa's Champions League squad of the tournament with eight of the 18 superstars coming from the winners.

"I love football. I have the chance to be with this great club, with this great squad".

"The players have entered into the legend of Real Madrid and of football, as has our coach", said club president Florentino Perez.

Real's win meant Zinedine Zidane's men became the first team in Champions League history to retain the trophy since the competition was reformatted in 1992.

Two weeks ago Madrid celebrated its first Spanish league title in five years.

Sony on its older games: "Why would anybody play this?"
There will be plenty of sales that will be featured during the event, with new ones popping up every day. The PlayStation executive then confirmed that a PS Vita successor is not a priority for Sony .

Gareth Bale has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer, amid speculation that Manchester United may attempt to sign the Wales forward for a fee of more than £100 million (S$177 million).

"We have won three Champions Leagues in four seasons, so we have to be in that category", he said. I'm very happy for him.

We are at good ages, we have young players that are coming and have a lot of quality.

Playing Ronaldo centrally has two benefits: it allows him to concentrate exclusively on the thing he does best, scoring goals; and he now has no serious defensive duties, meaning he can't harm his team by failing to track back or support his full-back.

"No I don't think Juve has reached the end of a cycle at all", Allegri said. Real won the match 4-1. "I think we feel that we are an wonderful team".

Overwhelmed and unable to focus when the pressure was really ramped up, Juventus suffered more heartbreak in a European final, just when they looked primed for an assault at halftime, with the scores level at 1-1. "But we can improve the team".
