Campaigners welcome new 'do not disturb' iPhone feature

Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi speaks during the opening keynote address the 2017 Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) at the San Jose Convention Center on June 5, 2017 in San Jose, California.

Apple was sued six months ago in relation to a case involving a fatal vehicle crash blamed on a teenage driver using the company's FaceTime video calling app. In a report PC Advisor, iOS 11's public version is expected to release the September, alongside the launch of Apple's new smartphone devices.

As usual, Apple has dropped support for older - yet still popular - devices, and this time around two iPhones and an iPad are getting the axe. But the Siri wasn't that smart like Google Assistant or Alexa so Apple has worked on it to make it better.

In what is certain to be a welcome move for app developers, Apple has announced that all the reviews and ratings their app has accumulated over the period of its existence on the app store, will no longer disappear when the devs release an update.

Of the new features, the Do Not Disturb while driving features has been designed "to help users stay more focused on the road".
