Chiefs' Reid says cutting Maclin been in works for awhile

That's especially the case given that Jeremy Maclin is now drawing big interest on the open market and Decker is coming off both hip and shoulder surgeries this offseason, which has him expected to miss time until training camp.

Maclin has significant ties to the Bills, and he could be a great fit in Buffalo due to a lack of high-end talent at wideout.

Given that he made it out of the Bills' facilities where he would have been reunited with former teammate and good friend LeSean McCoy, one might think that he is not necessarily in a hurry to make a decision.

In his eight seasons, Maclin has recorded two 1,000-yard seasons, and those came back-to-back in 2014 (1,318 receiving yards) and 2015 (1,088 yards).

Part of Maclin's allure as a free agent in 2015 rested on his ability to lead a young receiver group that included second-year players Albert Wilson and De'Anthony Thomas.

In Germany, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir also said he wants to see a response from the Arab countries' demands "soon". And to Qatar's critics, the hostage deal was further evidence of its role in sponsoring extremists.

The Baltimore Ravens said goodbye to one of the best tight ends in the franchise's history on Wednesday, when they released Dennis Pitta after the six-year veteran re-injured his hip. In his last season there, Maclin was a Pro Bowler before playing two seasons with the Chiefs. Behind him, the Eagles still have former first round pick Nelson Agholar as the fourth receiver, who will be paid whether or not he is on the team next season. He had the two fastest game speeds in the league last season, according to NFL.com.

Reid believes his past experiences in Philadelphia with Brian Westbrook and DeSean Jackson provide him with the right formula in balancing Hill's workload.

Whether Maclin's camp is interested in Cleveland is something that is entirely player-dependent.

While Collins might not ultimately attempt anything when it comes to Maclin, we do have one of our first reports loosely connecting the Browns to the prized free agent receiver.

After his release, the football world immediately linked Jeremy Maclin to the Ravens. I've never said we've had a No. 1 guy. If Baltimore waited for the Jets to release Decker, the team would be able to sign him to a cheaper deal.
