Apple's Siri Speaker Reportedly Enters Production Phase

However, just like other similar devices in the market, Apple's Siri will take up commands and answer users' questions, play music or even lock automatic door locks.

Apple's next big developer conference starts Monday, and the hot rumor is that the company plans to launch its own smart speaker.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted earlier last month that Apple would be announcing a smart speaker along with a new iPad during the WWDC 2017. According to sources close to the company, the Siri Speaker has now entered the manufacturing stage.

And reports have also circulated regarding a third undisclosed meeting between Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. There was a question of whether or not this appearance would be open or closed, and the former route has been chosen.

Apparently, some Apple employees are already testing the speaker at their homes and Inventec, the Taipei based company is expected to manufacture the speaker.

Apple is looking to differentiate the Siri speaker from its competitors, including Amazon's Echo devices and Google Home gadgets.

Adding AirPlay support to the device would let users 'push music, radio, and podcasts to the Apple hardware over Wi-Fi, which typically offers better quality than Bluetooth, ' Apple Insider reported.

Apple, which faces a growing challenge in the mobile space from the dominant Google Android system, has been tweaking its business model as part of an effort to keep developers in its ecosystem.
