FIFA has reached an agreement to broadcast the Confederations Cup on Russian television after world football's governing body signed a last-minute deal with the 2SPORT2 consortium.

The report said that workers on World Cup stadium construction sites in six cities had wages unpaid or delayed for months and worked in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius without sufficient breaks to warm up.

Human Rights Watch reported Wednesdayday that builders "face exploitation and labor abuses" in their preparations for the Confederation Cup and World Cup.

According to the report, workers are often afraid to speak out about abuses, fearing reprisals from their employers. New Zealand will play two of their group stage games at the stadium.

Visa (NYSE:V), the Official Payment Service Partner of FIFA, today announced that football fans attending the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 will have a front row seat to enhanced payment experiences at official FIFA stadiums.

Paper says Mueller probe looking at obstruction
Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade noted former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich recommended Mueller's firing. But that changed shortly after Trump fired Comey last May, the Post's sources said.

beIN SPORTS is a popular sports channel launched in November 2003 originally as Al Jazeera Sport. beIN SPORTS owns the exclusive broadcasting rights in the Arab Middle East for major football leagues, such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga, FIFA World Cup etc.

Ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation next summer, Grindel also wants to clamp down on doping, saying he wants the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to carry out drugs tests. Allegations of worker abuses were also common leading up to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

It also said the organization was "committed to our responsibility" of safeguarding reasonable working conditions on World Cup construction sites.

For the Human Rights Watch report, 42 workers were interviewed. "Transparency is the key to any serious human rights protection".

But "the overall message of exploitation on the construction sites portrayed by HRW does not correspond with FIFA's assessment" based on quarterly inspections by independent experts and trade union representatives, the spokesperson added.
