CT 2017: Pakistan bowlers restrict England to 211

"This is what I envisioned for Pakistan, a team that can take up any challenge and fight back like they mean it", Inzamam Ul-Haq tweeted.

Talking about the victory, Pakistan Sarfraz Ahmed on Wednesday credited the support staff for keeping the team in good spirits after heavy loss against India, following which the side staged a sensational turnaround to reach the Champions Trophy final.

Pakistan were thrashed by 124 runs by defending champions India in the first group match in the eight-team tournament, but rebounded quickly to beat South Africa and Sri Lanka to qualify for their third Champions Trophy semi-final.

Despite the loss, Root dismissed the suggestion that England should detour slightly from all-out attack in the future in favour of steadier players more capable of handling hard surfaces for batting.

The magnificent catch Fakhar Zaman took to dismiss Moeen Ali was a proof it was a different day on the field for the Pakistanis, famed for sloppy fielding on most occasions.

"Credit goes to the bowlers", Sarfraz said.

Mohammad Kaif, for instance, pointed out that only teams from the sub-continent have made it to the final leg of the tournament. "We knew that we were going to play on a used wicket at some stage in this tournament, and we found out the other day that today was going to be on a used wicket". 'I know you guys had us as favourites for this competition but that wasn't the opinion of the team nor me.

Attorney Bridget Rohde said Arzuaga "provided a critical service to those involved in corruption in global soccer". Julius Baer denies being aware of or involved in Arzuaga's use of bank accounts for bribery purposes.

"We've come a long way in the last two years and, like the fans, we'd like to win every game we play in", he added. According to media reports, Bangladesh want to attack India's strong batting order with pace and they will specially test Yuvraj's technique with some short-pitched stuff.

"It was a golden chance for us to win something and all we can do now is keep looking towards that World Cup and use this as a really good platform", Root said. "Combined with England's apparent issues with the pitch, Pakistan didn't give them a sniff".

"It was good to have that feeling, we don't play at home, so whenever we get a crowd supporting us we love it. Thanks to the crowd for coming and they've been brilliant", he added.

Trevor Bayliss is confident England will reach their peak for the 2019 World Cup despite their crushing Champions Trophy disappointment.

Asked how that came about, Morgan said: "I think the explanation is they played two days ago on it".

However, Sarfraz's comments didn't go down well with Sohail, who lashed out the skipper by saying an external factor was responsible for the victory rather than the players.

Our white ball sides have had a couple of close calls in recent times, what with this and last year's World Twent20 final loss, so the key is taking the experience gained and ensuring we don't make the same mistakes next time around.
