Iran Launches Missiles into Eastern Syria

Iran's forces announced that a large number of terrorists were killed by its missile attack in Deir Ezzor, Syria, AFP reported.

The launch of surface-to-surface medium range missiles into Syria's Deir el-Zour province comes as Islamic State militants fleeing a US -led coalition onslaught increasingly try to fortify their positions there.

Iran backs Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in his fight against anti-government rebel groups and ISIS, which is primarily based in the Syrian city of Raqqa.

It did not immediately offer other specifics, other than to say the missiles were launched from Iran. Social media was awash in shaky mobile phone footage from those areas, allegedly showing the missiles rise in an orange glow before heading toward their targets.

Trump Tweets His Frustration With Russia Investigation
Reports have alleged that Trump asked both men to publicly quash the credibility of the Russian Federation investigation. Mueller's investigation appeared to be reaching a broadening circle of current and former officials.

"The message of this revolutionary and vengeful move is very clear", the statement read, "the Islamic Revolutionary Guards warn the Takfiri terrorists, their regional and transregional guardians".

The Revolutionary Guards targeted the bases and headquarters of terrorists that Iran believes to be responsible for the Tehran attacks.

The terrorists targeted the Iranian capital on June 7 in a twin attack, with four armed assailants attacking the country's parliament while a suicide bomber blew himself up at the Imam Khomeini Mausoleum.

Senior Iranian officials, however, have pointed a finger at Saudi Arabia, Iran's Sunni regional rival.
