Spurs never enjoyed big Finals ratings like Warriors-Cavs

The Golden State juggernaut rolled over Cleveland four games to one in the best-of-seven championship series, which ended with a 129-120 Warriors home triumph Monday that brought NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant his first championship.

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant (35) celebrates after winning the NBA Fianls MVP in game five of the 2017 NBA Finals at Oracle Arena.

"Give everyone credit. We didn't have a No. 1 (overall) draft pick", Green said, his words clearly directed toward James.

After joining the Warriors in July 2016 - a decision which caused shockwaves in the National Basketball Association world among talk of a GSW "super team" - it took Durant just one season to win his first championship. His teammate, #Kyrie Irving, knows how great of a player LeBron is, and when asked about James' performance after Game 5 loss this is what Irving had to say: "I think that some people would say that he's on the line of greatness".

Golden State had a bullseye on Cleveland all year, matching up in the NBA Finals for a record third straight year - one at 12-0, the other at 12-1. "I'm so happy Kevin has broken through and there's more to come from him".

As unforgettable for the rest of the National Basketball Association was the way the Warriors attacked the season, blending Durant's inside power with Curry and Klay Thompson's outside shooting to create a deadly combination and potentially long-lasting one.

"We're obviously just getting started", the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player said.

Qatar crisis: the latest developments
Together with Egypt, the four countries severed diplomatic ties with Qatar on June 5 and imposed a land, sea and air blockade. What's the role of Turkey and Iran in this crisis? The Pentagon, meanwhile, maintains the U.S.

"They have an incredible team".

"Not one time did I feel like we were overmatched until probably like I looked up, there was like a minute 20, and we were down 13, I believe, or something at that point", James said.

This isn't the first time Durant has sent some love Rihanna's way. I've been talking about this all season. The play was liked more than 2.8 million times.

Were those teams as super as this year's Warriors?

Earlier, Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob insisted the champions will fight tooth and nail to keep Curry and Durant.

Speaking of LeBron James, he also made history this year, becoming the first player ever to average a triple-double in the NBA Finals. At this point I'm not mad or anything, but I'm just saying at this point in the Finals, I'm trying to stay where we are.

"I mean, you average over 30 points a game in a Finals?"
