Humidity Returns Along With Some Showers

Bands of showers and thunderstorms moved through Friday afternoon and later in the evening, bringing down some trees and causing flooding.

For Father's Day, much of the morning should be dry in the Upstate, but some showers could begin forming before lunch in the mountains. The rest of the week does hold the possibility for showers or t-storms with humidity back up by the end of the week.

"Once in a while, the tail of these systems may bring a thunderstorm and rain to small localized areas", AccuWeather Long-Range Meteorologist Mike Doll added. With less moisture to work with, fewer storms will pop up on Sunday compared to Saturday afternoon Highs will stay in the upper 80s to near 90.

A strong cold front dives into the Commonwealth later this evening while interacting with a warm and unstable air mass.

Highs should still push into the upper 80s as skies clear. Despite the gradual warm up and eventual increase in humidity (Wednesday) it's still not expected to be as bad as this past week.
