Jon Snow's real name has been revealed

Seven of those episodes comprise season 7 and six is confirmed to be the count for the eighth and final season next year.

A leaked page from an upcoming issue of Empire Magazine may have spilled the beans about Jon Snow's birth name.

What's in a name? But since HBO hasn't confirmed anything yet, this is still just conjecture at this point. It's highly possible that Lyanna gave Jon a *very* Targaryen name, like Jaehaerys.

With that, it looks like Jon Snow's real name is officially Jaehaerys Targaryen.

Could it be true? This would make Jon, presumed to be the bastard offspring of Ned Stark, the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, older brother of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

Casey also had a triple bogey on No. 14 in the second round, but he finished with a 1-under 71 and a share of the 36-hole lead. Thomas emphatically sunk six birdies over the front nine then responded with an eagle, three birdies and a bogey on the back.

Although the name tidbit is juicy, GOT fans are still craving their return to the world of Westeros. "Bran's now in this precarious situation in which it's just him and Meera (Ellie Kendrick), and he has all of this information that could change the entire story", said Hempstead Wright.

Jaehaerys II was Jon's great - grandfather. However, as ScreenRant notes, many fans believed that Lyanna (Aisling Franciosi) whispered the name "Jaehaerys" to young Ned (Robert Aramayo) with her dying breath.

Redditor theshivsharma from the Freefolk subreddit posted a link to a photo from what is purportedly Empire Magazine's Game of Thrones season 7 preview, and it appears to reveal Jon Snow's birth name. Hopefully we won't know nothing about Jon Snow for too much longer.

We must wait to find out if Jon's name really is Jaehaerys Targaryen, but for now it seems like a flawless fit for the new King of the North. Game of Thrones Season 7 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, and we can not wait to see how everything plays out. That was one of the common guesses after The Winds of Winter, and it makes a lot of sense. And you, what do you think of that name? Jaehaerys was the most beloved Targaryen leader who, in addition to quelling the divide between the monarchy and Faith Militant, was a dragonrider.

And if Jon Snow is named Jaehaerys, this lends credence to the theory that he will help fulfill the "dragon has three heads" prophecy.
