Spider-Man actor shares 'awkward' first meeting with Robert Downey Jr

Last year, we reported that Sony was developing a movie about Spider-Man villain Venom (now set to star Tom Hardy), and the studio very strongly implied that it would be fully disconnected from Homecoming and the MCU.

Fans have been furiously arguing ever since it was announced that Sony was moving forward with their Venom spinoff movie since the assumption was that it will take place outside of the established MCU. Apparently, some people didn't hold on to the fact that it wasn't outright saying that Venom's story will take place outside of the shared universe. I think one of the things that Kevin has done with Marvel that's so brilliant, is bringing the fans along, and making each movie feel like a chapter in a book.

"When I met him I was thinking, 'You look different in person, something isn't quite the same, '" Holland added.

Holland will co-star with Downey Jr, in what will be the Iron Man actor's seventh film in Marvel franchise. Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love and Basketball, The Secret Life of Bees) has been tapped to direct Silver and Black, which will pair up Silver Sable and Black Cat. Pascal answered that "there's a chance" that it could happen. "I think that is what she was trying to say as opposed to putting a ticking clock [on Spider-Man]".

Missing person count rises in London high-rise fire
UK Chancellor Philip Hammond today indicated that flammable material suspected to have been used was most likely banned in the UK. His family said that Alhajali "came to the United Kingdom because he had ambitions and aims for his life and for his family".

That honestly wouldn't be too hard, since Marvel's other shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and their Netflix shows are already pretty separate from the films. This means that Venom will take place in the MCU, but Venom won't be canon within the main MCU.

Considering that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has more explicitly stated that Venom will not be a part of the MCU, the word "adjuncts" might be the key to unraveling this confusing mess. I suspect this will be similar when Sony produces its future films.

As of now, the logical way to go is to continue the partnership between Sony and Marvel.
