Wizards get PG Tim Frazier from Pelicans for 2nd-round pick

These past couple days have been filled with a multitude of rumors, league sources, Woj bombs, and a slew of trades involving both players and draft picks.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Pelicans and Wizards agreed to a trade that will send backup Tim Frazier to Washington in exchange for the 52 pick in the NBA Draft.

Last season, he averaged 7.1 points and 5.2 assists for the Pelicans in 65 games, including 35 starts. The struggles of the Wizards bench have been well documented throughout the season.

That was the only pick Washington had this year.

BCCI to appoint new coach before Sri Lanka tour
Gavaskar further suggested that the Indian team will need a coach before their away series against Sri Lanka. Shami will be keen to regain his place in the ODI XI and West Indies gives him a proper chance to do so.

Frazier, 6-1, 170, was originally signed by New Orleans on March 16, 2016.

A key contributor on the Pelicans bench was reportedly traded to the Washington Wizards tonight. While Frazier isn't a top shelf backup, he's a competent player that is valuable to the Pelicans.

The reigning Southeast Division champions Wizards have been in the market for a reserve point guard to play behind four-time Wizards All-Star John Wall after the acquisition of Trey Burke failed and Brandon Jennings future with the Wizards uncertain.
