Bucks guard Brogdon voted Rookie of the Year

Bucks guard Brogdon voted Rookie of the Year

The news was reported by Ben Golliver on Twitter.

On the season, Brogdon averaged 10.2 points, 4.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Brogdon, Saric and Embiid are the three finalists for the 2016-17 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

"I am both humbled and honored to win this award", said Brogdon. Him winning Rookie of the Year at Monday night's first-ever NBA Awards was as inevitable as Drake making a joke about his Instagram exes during the opening monlogue, and even hours before it was announced, it seemed like Sixers Twitter was getting testy in anticipation.

Brogdon started 28 games this year and played in 75.

Nation's Largest Doctors' Group Slams Republican Health Care Bill
As Trump was whipping votes, a pro-Trump group went after Republican Nevada Senator Dean Heller, who came out against the bill . The Senate bill also assumes that after 2025, medical bills will grow more slowly than they have historically.

Brogdon also enters the history books as only the second player to win the award after a rookie season with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Despite a prolific and successful college career for the Virginia Cavaliers, there wasn't a great deal of hype about guard Malcolm Brogdon entering the 2016 NBA Draft. Embiid - who just finished his third season in the National Basketball Association despite playing for the first time - is technically considered a rookie, which means Simmons - a rookie this past season - will be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award next year along with Markelle Fultz.

Brogdon was joined by Philadelphia's Joel Embiid and Dario Saric on the All-Rookie First Team, along with Sacramento's Buddy Hield and New York's Willy Hernangomez.

Ferrell is the first Maverick to land a spot on either All-Rookie team since Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard shared Second-Team honors for the 2003-04 season. In fact, 20 different teams - several teams a couple of times - chose to take a pass on him before the Milwaukee Bucks finally bit with their second selection of the night. He worked on adding a three-point shot to his game and could become a real inside-outside threat down the line. "The previous record was three global players on the NBA All-Rookie First Team". "The Greek Freak" was named the NBA's Most Improved Player. Brogdon played in 74 games, averaging 26.5 minutes per night while helping Milwaukee reach the Eastern Conference playoffs. That's what us Process Trusters are good for: We're bitter, stupid and endlessly vindictive so you don't have to be. He is the first Bucks player to be on the All-Defensive team since Alvin Robertson in 1991.
