Want John Romero's Original DOOM 2 Floppy Disks? It'll Cost You

"I've made a decision to put up a set of DOOM 2 floppies (3.5") on eBay! The reason it's so expensive is that the disks belong to John Romero, id Software co-founder, Doom co-creator, and level editor extraordinaire. There's nothing else to them; just a selection of disks without cases or anything.

That being said, Romero will be signing the disks for the winning bidder. They won't be included in their original box, either. The current bid is now up to $850, but many would argue that Romero should be giving things away for free after what happened with Daikatana and him trying to "make you his bitch". Will sign if you like (if you win).

According to Romero, the 23-year-old discs don't have any defects, but the glue on the labels has begun to wear off. The auction is set to end in the next 2 hours or so and at this time of posting, the bid for these disks is standing at $3,100.

Screenshot of social media post shared based on what police say was false information (some elements blurred by FOX 13 ). But the dad tells us all he saw was this odd man walking towards this parking lot with his daughter.

"The eBay listing contains a set of 3.5" floppy disks of the 1.7 of Doom II first edition.
