Gran Turismo Sport Releases On 18th October

Gran Turismo revealed the release date via its YouTube channel, along with a new 30-second trailer full of sweet in-game footage.

Today, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Polyphony Digital announced that its long-awaited and highly-anticipated Gran Turismo Sport will race its way to the PS4 on October 17th in North America, and a day later on October 18th in Europe. To pull the plug this soon after the update wouldn't leave much time for the development team to see how much the mechanical damage impacts gameplay, never mind give them enough time to make adjustments. There are several version to choose from on top of the Standard Edition including a Collector's Edition and a special Steelbook Edition exclusive to Amazon.

Moon Express also revealed more detail on the crafts that have been developed to achieve these lofty goals. The MX-1E is now in testing and might launch for the first time later this year.

GT Sport will contain three main game modes: Campaign, Sports Mode, and Arcade Mode. That was, until it received negative player feedback in 2016. Its PSVR support has been considered underwhelming by many, and its lack of dynamic weather or time of day have been sore spots, but this is without a doubt a Gran Turismo game, one with a phenomenal attention to detail that many fans find irreplaceable. Since then, the developer claims the Gran Turismo franchise has recorded a total of 76.74 million copies shipped worldwide.
