Senior Lifetime NPS Passes $10 Until Aug. 28

National Parks leaders and other government sites have been trying to alert seniors to the big price hike, urging them to act quickly if they want to order the $10 passes before the cost goes up.

Cuyahoga Valley park spokeswoman Pamela Barnes said pass sales have steadily increased in recent months, and the park expects they'll rise even more before the price changes. Pass holders are given lifetime access to more than 2,000 sites and parks.

"According to the National Park Service, "$37.6 million in estimated revenue from the senior pass will be used to enhance the visitor experience, with an emphasis on deferred maintenance, improved visitor facilities, and trail maintenance".

Here is a list of the National Parks that the pass will get you into. Previously purchased Senior Passes will be honored for pass holders' lifetimes.

Google Home Will Now Play Uploaded Songs From Play Music
The new addition to the speakers gives priority to the uploaded or purchased content on the Play Store than a radio station. For example, you can say - "Hey Google, Play Hey Jude (replace it with your choice of song or artist) from my library".

US citizens and permanent residents who are 62 years or older can purchase the lifetime pass for $10 until August 28.

If you're 62 or older and frequent National Parks, make sure to buy your Senior Pass before August 28 - after that, you'll have to pay $70 more.

Due to expected high order volume, there could be delays with online and mail order processing.

"We heard on the radio that the price is going up from 10 dollars to 80 dollars so we made a decision to go up here and get one", said Susie Staggs, a Fall River Mills resident. The legislation also introduces a new annual Senior Pass that can be purchased for $20. Seniors must be at least 62 years old on the day the pass is bought. The pass also waives the entrance fee for traveling companions. In parks that charge per-vehicle admission, the passes cover entry for all occupants in a non-commercial vehicle. At a per-person fee site, the pass admits the pass holder and three other adults. Children under 16 are also admitted free.
