Chelsea to loan Kurt Zouma as Antonio Conte offers Andreas Christensen role

Chelsea's transfer window so far has been underwhelming but is it bad enough to hurt their aspirations for the upcoming season?

As per Sky Sports, the Frenchman will hold talks with both Stoke City and West Brom over the possibility of spending the 2017/18 campaign on loan with either of the Premier League sides.

Stoke City have emerged as favourites to sign Kurt Zouma on a season-long loan once the central defender has penned a new Chelsea contract.

The Blues star looks certain to be offloaded this summer, particularly after the arrival of Antonio Rudiger from Roma, having failed to convince Antonio Conte that he was worth a run in his first team at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League champions are preparing to loan out Zouma so that he can gain experience playing regular football following his knee injury which ruled him out for most of the season.

Zouma is expected to leave Stamford Bridge on loan this summer as he looks to secure regular first team football in a World Cup year; Zouma is hoping to go to Russian Federation with the France squad.

He battled back to fitness in January to help Chelsea for the second half of last season, but found himself down the pecking order in Antonio Conte's plans.

Zouma, 22, returned to action last season after almost a year on the sidelines with a knee injury.
