Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron Stress the Positive

It was a meeting that went very, very quickly.

After a white-knuckle handshake in May that President Emmanuel Macron described as a "moment of truth" for Donald Trump, the Frenchman has welcomed the USA president to France with smiles and a gentle hand on the shoulder.

"We are the most powerful country in the world and getting more and more powerful because I'm a big military person. Now he doesn't even think in terms of going there", Trump said.

After Ms. Perry introduced herself, Mr. Trump told Mr. Varadkar, "She has a nice smile on her face so I bet she treats you well".

The Associated Press wrote about "Jim" on Wednesday, just before Trump embarked on his brief visit to France for Bastille Day.

Many regard his move to invite Trump to France so soon as a stroke of genius.

Reports claim Alfred Angelo stores closing
Thankfully, her wedding is a year away and has time to figure things out, but that doesn't replace the dress she said "yes" to. Many brides-to-be took to social media Thursday after news Alfred Angelo stores were closing began spreading online.

"Ever since Gen. Lafayette joined the American fight for Independence, our fates and fortunes have been tied unequivocally together". "I can confirm this is a deep revolution, but we are not afraid when they are carried out peacefully, in a structured way and over time". "The relationship is very good", he said. The focal point of the trip however will be the meeting between Macron and Trump at the Elysée Palace.

The world leaders then had a bilateral meeting before making their public comments at the news conference.

The French leader said they discussed trade agreements, counterterrorism, the Syrian crisis and they agreed on a "joint" vision for Libya and the Sahel. Prior to departing Trump wrote on his personal Twitter account, "Getting [ready] to leave for France @ the invitation of President Macron to Celebrate &honor Bastille Day and 100 [Years] since US entry into WWI".

Trump then leaned into the microphone, looked over at Macron and said: "You better do a good job, please".

"The United States and our allies strengthen our commitments to defeat terrorism", said Trump. It's what happened, that caught us by surprise (not really).
