Ezekiel Elliott Could Face Suspension For 2016 Domestic Violence Charges

Rumors about behavior have chased Elliott since before Dallas made him the fourth-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Per reports of ESPN'S Adam Schefter, Dallas Cowboys running back sensation Ezekiel Elliot could be the recipient of a "short suspension" as he is the subject of an ongoing investigation from his 2016 domestic violence allegation. He's dealt with domestic violence accusations and with rumors about "partying" behavior.

A short suspension certainly wouldn't reach as far as Week 9, and even if Schefter is wrong and the investigation turns up hard evidence, it's unlikely that Elliot would have to miss more than a half season.

I think that there is a growing sense that he could face some sort of short suspension here in the coming weeks at some point once the National Football League wraps up it's investigation.

"I think that Zeke Elliott is bracing for a short suspension here in the coming weeks". ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the National Football League is nearing the end of its investigation into Elliott's situation and is likely to suspend him for the start of the season, which could mean one or two games.

Elliott hasn't done the greatest job of keeping himself out of trouble.

"I do. I would rather them not drag it on as long". "If there was something to find, which there's not, they would've found it by now". It just seems like they're dragging their feet right now. "Who knows, man? I just want it to end".

But lowering his social profile will not guarantee that Elliott is shielded from punishment. However, police announced they would not file charges shortly thereafter because Elliott had proof that the woman asked a friend to lie about what happened.
