Amid stand-off, Tejashwi Yadav skips function attended by Nitish Kumar

Amid stand-off, Tejashwi Yadav skips function attended by Nitish Kumar

JD (U) chief general secretary K C Tyagi told PTI that Kumar, at a party meeting on Tuesday, had dwelt on the importance of morality in politics and stressed on "politics of principles". The RJD leader added that his organization was of the view that if Tejashwi steps down on his own, it would demoralize the party rank and file.

Since then, the two parties have directed barbs at each other, increasing pressure on chief minister Nitish Kumar to sack Tejashwi to protect an image of clean governance. "The difference between Nitish and Lalu is that the CM has an alternative (to join NDA ranks) but the RJD chief has no other option", he said.

While Labour Resources Minister Vijay Prakash, an RJD leader, presided over the function to celebrate the first anniversary of "Kushal Yuva Karyakram", there was visible awkwardness among the organisers over Tejashwi's absence.

Instead of isolating him, RJD is pondering whether all of their ministers should pull out of the Nitish government.

Amid speculation of split taking place between the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Janata Dal (United), the latter today denied it and asserted that the Gatbandhan alliance is working successfully.

Rajon Rondo had meeting with New Orleans Pelicans Thursday
A reunion between center #DeMarcus Cousins and veteran point guard #Rajon Rondo with the #New Orleans Pelicans is in the works. Holiday re-signed with the Pelicans for $126 million over five years and said he would be willing to play away from the ball.

Lalu Prasad Yadav had on Friday said that his son Tejashwi Yadav will not resign from the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and dared anyone to break the grand alliance. Lalu said only lodging FIR will not be concrete reasons for resignation of Tejaswi Prasad Yadav.

A similar stance was taken by RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who categorically stated that the grand alliance in Bihar is an unbreakable bond.

The RJD chief had also said that the grand alliance in Bihar is an unbreakable bond. He also refused to disclose the known sources of his income as demanded by the JD (U) earlier in the day.

Tejashwi Yadav has tweeted that he will not resign from his post and the rumours of his resignation are fake.

BJP leader Nitin Naveen, however, has said that there is no question of supporting Tejashwi. JD (U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar, in an apparent reference to Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav, said those against whom accusations have been leveled should explain the source of their property "to silence the Opposition".
