Bakayoko set to sign five-year Chelsea contract on Saturday

Bakayoko set to sign five-year Chelsea contract on Saturday

Nathaniel Chalobah has been sold to Watford creating space for Bakayoko in the squad that also has N'Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.

The 22-year-old Bakayoko was pivotal in helping Monaco win the French league last season and Chelsea had been sounding out the playmaker about a move to west London.

"I feel indebted to him because he's the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level", Morata said in April.

Now Juventus are set to offer Chelsea the chance to offload the midfielder to a club overseas, according to Sky Italia, something which will be a more palatable option for Blues fans.

Trump, however, sat motionless with his arms folded, while his French counterpart smiled broadly throughout. Last fall, BBC News reported that Trump digs music by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Elton John and Eminem.

Chelsea are understood to be demanding a fee in the region of £40m for Matic, and with regular talks with Juventus already in progress over defender Alex Sandro the 28-year-old is also set to be up for discussion. The Premier League Champions have added Antonio Rudiger from Roma, further increasing their defensive options and adding competition for David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta but they remain light up top and the Blues must rectify this before the beginning of August. Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, another player discarded cheaply by Mourinho, subsequently blossomed at Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg who made a handsome profit on the £18 million paid for the player in January 2014 when selling him to Manchester City for £55 million just 18 months later.

Tiemoue Bakayoko will undergo a medical on Friday after travelling to London to finalise a £40 million move from Monaco to Chelsea, sources have told ESPN FC.

It now remains to be seen if Manchester United are able to enter the fray for Matic again, or if they are forced to resign themselves to seeing him join Inter Milan instead. The next player expected to switch Eindhoven for Manchester was Robben, but Chelsea came in and stole him away and he was an immediate success. However, Real want £70 million for the Spanish striker.

The France global is in London to undergo a medical and finalise his transfer to the Premier League champions.
