Nuggets to play in NBA Africa Game next month

The event takes place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa, following the 15th edition of Basketball Without Borders Africa, which is another offshoot of the league's worldwide basketball camps.

Team Africa's captains have been announced as Thabo Sefolosha and Luol Deng. The squad includes DeMarcus Cousins of the New Orleans Pelicans, Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors, Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks, Portland's CJ McCollum, Detroit's Andre Drummond, Boston's Jaylen Brown, Denver's Chandler, New York's Courtney Lee and Leandro Barbosa, who most recently played with Phoenix. Captains of Team World will be Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker.

Mavericks assistant Jamahl Mosley, who is now coaching Dallas' summer league team in Las Vegas, is among the coaches scheduled to participate.

"Returning to Africa to play in the second National Basketball Association game on the continent is a dream come true", Mudiay said.

This year's game is on August 5, and will be played in the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg at 5:00 pm CAT (that's 11:00 am Eastern).

Biyombo will suit up for Team Africa, which will consist of players born on the continent and second-generation African players. "Our return to Johannesburg this summer is part of the League's continued commitment to bring the authentic NBA experience to fans around the world", said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

"I'm really excited to represent Team World in the second NBA Africa Game this summer". The first NBA Africa Game, which was held in 2015, marked the first time that a major North American sports league hosted an outing on African soil.
