Renee Young Comments on WWE 'Talking Smack' Being Canceled

WWE will now only air the post-Smackdown talk show after Smackdown-branded PPVs rather than after each episode of Smackdown.

Opinion: I have no idea why this show needed to be canceled as it would seem to be as simple as getting a camera crew and finding someone to talk to. We also run down what could be next for The Hardys, AJ Styles' big WWE United States Championship win and more. WWE released the following statement. Young was a mainstay on the program, with either Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon or others co-hosting on Tuesday nights after SmackDown. That was the controversial segment where The Miz mocked Daniel Bryan for not being able to wrestle anymore and going on a tirade about how he works harder and cares more about wrestling than Bryan did.

Talking Smack has been cut from WWE's Tuesday night line-up, the company has confirmed.

On Friday, the WWE announced the end of Talking Smack.

In particular, the appearances of Daniel Bryan and The Miz - who regularly exchanged verbal barbs on Talking Smack a year ago, prompting rumours of a return to the ring for the Smackdown GM - were heavily praised.

The WWE made it sound like they are canceling "Talking Smack" due to low ratings on the WWE Network, where they mentioned viewership numbers and "subscriber research". That likely affected its numbers.
