Wenger remains positive about Sanchez future

"Of course. There is not a lot to resolve at the moment with the player", said Wenger on Arsenal's pre-season tour of Australia.

The Arsenal manager is not entertaining any talk of a summer move and insisted that he expects the player to honour his contract with the hope that he will sign an extension either before the start of the season or during the campaign.

Goal understands that Manchester City remains the favoured destination of Alexis this summer as he enters into the final 12 months of his Arsenal contract, but the Gunners are maintaining the stance that their star man is not for sale and will not be allowed to leave this summer. I have spoken through text and it was very positive.

As reported by the Sun, Sanchez, who has attracted interest from the Gunners' Premier League rivals Man City, is now on holiday due to Chile's participation in the Confederations Cup, whilst his Arsenal teammates are on a pre-season tour of Australia.

United Nations sees direct Syria talks soon but not pushing for it
They do not control territory on the ground or have strong links with armed groups engaged in the war, according to Reuters . Government delegation chief says direct meeting with opposition was not raised with his team at Geneva talks .

The Frenchman also hinted that Sanchez who is still on holidays, could be ready to play in their opening game of the season against Leicester on August 11.

The veteran Gunners trainer also revealed he was not expecting Sanchez till the end of the month, having granted him an extended holiday to recover from his exertions with Chile in Russian Federation.

Arsene Wenger has made it clear Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will "100 per cent" say at Arsenal this summer despite rumours linking the England winger with a move away from the Emirates.

Sometimes I have left them out but it also depends on what shape they come back in.
