Fiji beats Samoa 38-16 in Pacific Nations Cup

But Fiji, who have already qualified for the World Cup, denied them anything as they ran in five tries in 38-16 win and, in the process, handed Tonga qualification.

Samoa now face the prospect of a play-off against the victor of Czech Republic or Portugal versus the second-place team in the 2018 Rugby Europe Championship (excluding Georgia, who have already qualified) for a place in Pool A at Japan 2019.

The winners of that playoff will compete in Pool A along with host Japan, Ireland, Scotland and the winners of the European qualifiers.

David Lemi, making his 50th worldwide appearance for Samoa, was the home side's only try scorer with a scintillating first-half finish.

As for Fiji, they finish top of the Oceania group and go into Pool D, along with Australia, Wales and Georgia, with a last spot still to be decided.

Holding Company (NYSE:JCP) Stock Price
The mean target of $5.60 should be compared with the price when the stock was languishing around $4.17 a share. 06/16/2017 - J.C. Over the last three months, the shares of the company have changed -17.28% and performed -29.36% over the last six months.

Tonga had six points after upsetting Samoa two weeks ago and after taking a bonus point from last weekend's 14-10 loss to Fiji.

They took an early lead Saturday with Seniloli's first try, created by a pass from Volavola which allowed an inside break from Akipusi Qera. Volavola kicked six goals from six attempts, converting all of Fiji's tries and a penalty from 55 metres.

Vatubua ran off a pass from Nagusa to score in the 52nd minute and Ratuniyarawa crashed over from close range six minutes from fulltime. It is also our fourth test win in a row and I am told that is a record for Fiji. I believe this squad can improve further and our aim will be to make the quarter-finals in 2019.

"We have to play home and away against Europe 2 in the next stage of qualification". The victor will face the Asia Rugby Championship 2018 victor for a place in repechage tournament.
