Mourinho: United need two more signings

Lukaku joined the Red Devils from Everton on July 10 for an initial £75million, a fee that could rise to £90m with add-ons, and the striker has had five days training with his team-mates in Los Angeles on their pre-season tour.

Speaking to reporters after practice, Coach Jose Mourinho noted that the striker's addition to the team was important.

"I can't say any word about another player", Mourinho said.

"He's now in his first step into the Champions League competition which was also his main motivation", Mourinho had said on Friday.

The Premier League and the top four at the very least has to be the number one target for Mourinho and his players, or there will be serious questions asked of the manager.

"Maybe we don't get two more, maybe we get one".

"It's quite a great experience the fact we worked together already for a few months and during the time when I was at Chelsea and when he was at Everton our relationship was always very close despite it not working well for us together".

Multiple Human Remains Found In Search For Four Missing Men In Pennsylvania
A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after police found the human remains of four missing men in a hole on the suspect's farmland. The suspect's troubled past included a history of mental illness and his expulsion from college after a single semester.

"I don't want to be disrespectful, we don't have our door closed, we are not happy with just Lukaku and Lindelof. We need more", he stated.

"I would not like to be in [chief executive] Ed Woodward's position negotiating because everything is really hard", Mourinho told reporters ahead of United's first pre-season friendly against MLS side LA Galaxy.

Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo also impressed during spells at centre-back, leaving Smalling potentially as a fifth choice defender ahead of the coming season. We have to respect the player, the club, the owner, the manager. I cannot criticize Real Madrid and I can not criticize my club.

"Yes, we have had interest, that is obvious and it's public".

None of the three are expected to play any part of the tour matches, but being included in the 27-man party suggests Mourinho wants them to be part of the group, rather than staying at home in Manchester.

"We will not be the ones who put a price on a Real Madrid player. (We made) offers we thought were fair and yet no agreement was reached".
