Arc System Works, the Japanese developer behind BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and the recently revealed Dragon Ball FighterZ, has announced that it's working on a crossover fighting game featuring characters from various franchises.

After the BlazBlue grand finals for EVO 2017, ArcSys had a few interesting announcements to make.

So far we have Ragna and Jun from BlazBlue, Yu Narukami from Persona 4 Arena, Hyde from Under Night In-Birth, and Ruby Rose from RWBY. RWBY is an American anime produced by Rooster Teeth. It's set to release in 2018, and we've got even more information (and a trailer) on its news post. No character roster has been announced but the game does see some returning faces from Persona and BlazBlue as well as some new additions.

When asked if he has considered leaving, he told Marca: "No, everything has been complicated by my injury, but nothing else". "The truth is I didn't read anything about United's interested".

It's dramatic and chaotic, as you might expect from a BlazBlue game, but the combination of characters might be enough to draw in newcomers that the series proper has scared away all these years.

Not much else is known about the fighting game yet, but it is already being hyped up by BlazBlue fans and fighting game enthusiasts.
