Weather Forecast: Saturday storms, Sunday sunshine


Showers and storms will exit the area from northwest to southeast late in the evening and early overnight hours. Locally heavy rainfall is possible this afternoon. High temperatures most days will be in the 80s and 90s for the plains, mainly 70s for the mountains.

Tuesday will also bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a chance of precipitation around 50 percent during the day. Skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy and have winds from the southeast at 5-10 miles per hour.

Monday Night. Mostly clear, with a low around 73. A front will move into the area on Monday night, meaning we will see drier air on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The weather service says the skies will remain clear throughout the state Sunday, with highs ranging from 84 to 87. Winds: SW 5-10 miles per hour. Lows in the mid 70s.

The chance for rain will continue into the beginning of the workweek.
