Manchester United's Ander Herrera denies Barcelona approach

Rumours of Manchester United Goalkeeper David De Gea making the move to Real Madrid are still persisting, following on from last Summer's much publicised transfer saga. However, the Red Devils ended their interest in the Spanish striker after they signed Romelu Lukaku.

Ander Herrera and the rest of his United teammates will next take on Real Salt Lake in another worldwide friendly Monday night. "I prefer to have him with me, so I will do everything possible to have him here".

Ander Herrera is set to sign a new four-year contract worth £200,000 a week with Manchester United, according to reports.

"I reached the point of seeing Morata as a teammate, he was very close [to joining United]", he said.

Manchester United meet the European champions twice ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League season, once in the International Champions Cup and again in the European Super Cup.

Morata's move to United looks dead in water as a result but Mata refused to rule it out completely as there is still more than one month to go until the end of the transfer windows. "Things can happen in the last days of the market, but I wish Alvaro the best". I do not criticise Madrid and I am not going to criticise my board because my board has made the offer, and they have tried to reach an agreement during a time, and they didn't come to an agreement.

Asked what he thought would happen with De Gea this summer, the former Madrid youth player said there would be no movement. "He is going to stay".
