Amber Alert issued for 1-year-old boy abducted in Monterey County

1 year-old Emiliano Salinas was abducted from a auto this morning in Soledad, triggering an Amber Alert. Anyone who sees Emiliano or the vehicle should call 911.

The suspect auto, which is still missing, is described as a white 1992 Honda Accord with California license plate #6RGB061. The good samaritan plucked the baby out of the car-seat and called 911, reports say. Blevin acted because he felt Gutierrez was in no condition to care for a baby, police said.

He was pacing and muttering to himself outside the stolen auto, witnesses said.

Just hours after the boy disappeared, citizens spotted the suspect and were able to take the baby to safety.

Blevin said the woman in the RV looked at him and said, "Help me save this baby", which prompted him to take the baby out of the auto and call the police.

A Salinas Police Department officer spotted the stolen Honda in Salinas at 12:30 p.m. and arrested 43-year-old Raymond Randy "Turtle" Gutierrez.
