"I'll do it right now", Reynolds told Downing, before calling him back via the video chat app.

"How you doing, little buddy?"

"You're a little young", Reynold says nervously, which gets a laugh from the boy's father.

Reynolds chatted with Downing for about 15 minutes and showed him around the set of "Deadpool 2", where he is now filming. Reynolds pointed out his young fan's Deadpool T-shirt, revealing that he'd never actually owned one. In order to stir the pot a bit and make fans smile, Ryan Reynolds has shared a new photo from behind-the-scenes while filming on Deadpool 2 that features the return of Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. "I'm about to walk onto the set".

After the fact, Daniel's mother admits she's still "blown away" by the Vancouver-born actor's generosity in taking the time to talk with her son.

"I'm so happy for Daniel - it's something he wouldn't normally have been able to do and he was so excited", she said.
