John Goodman's 'Roseanne' Character Won't Be Dead in Reboot

Other newsy items for Roseanne fans include an update that Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki (who played David Healy) is still in talks to return.

"Those conversations are still in progress", Dungey said. For eight seasons, David and Darlene were a couple, but in Season 9, it was suddenly revealed that Darlene was married to Mark (the late Glenn Quinn) and Becky had been with David for years.

Schedule could be a factor in Galecki's return to Roseanne.

Ever since the revival of Roseanne was announced, fans have been wondering how the new iteration would address the original series finale, in which Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) revealed that her husband Dan (John Goodman) had died, and that numerous later events in the series were just stories she'd written as part of the grieving process. "Dan is definitely still alive". Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Dungey confirmed that Roseanne will be back in 2018 while also mentioning that the revival will address the events of the final episode and whether Dan Conner will be alive.

Manager Jose Mourinho has targeted a fourth signing, after bringing in Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic. The midfielder was regular for the side last season, featuring in a total of 47 matches in all competitions.

Speaking of the series finale, Dungey would not totally clarify whether the rebooted show would ignore everything that happened in the last season, or only Dan's death.

"Politics had absolutely nothing to do with it - we have actors on our shows who have all sorts of different political views", Dungey said at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour on Sunday.

The Roseanne reboot will begin filming in October. What we do know is that Barr and Goodman will both be back in the newly resurrected "Roseanne.", along with Sara Gilbert as Darlene, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie and Lecy Goranson as Becky.
