Plaintiff in STD lawsuit against Usher holds press conference

Attorney Lisa Bloom held a press conference on Monday to address the allegations of two women and one man who claim that recording artist Usher (full name Usher Raymond) has genital herpes, and failed to tell them before engaging in sexual activity.

Bloom said she's been contacted by others and may file additional lawsuits.

Sharpton said that she celebrated her 19th birthday at an Usher concert, and was selected to go backstage. The fact that Usher may not have disclosed whether he had an STD before allegedly hooking up with them is the issue.

Bloom represents three people, Sharpton, a woman and a man, who claim they were put at risk of infection by the singer, one of whom the lawyer says has tested positive for the disease.

An unnamed woman filed a lawsuit last month (Jul17) claiming she caught herpes following a fling with the R&B superstar.

Bloom said the other accusers will be named in the complaint as Jane Doe and John Doe. Per Lisa, her end goal for this case is to force Usher to reveal his diagnosis to any sexual partners he may have in the future.

SUVs, Luxury Cars Could be Costly as GST to Go Up
Increase in cess would also reverse the positive momentum that the industry wanted to achieve with the introduction of the GST. With this, the total indirect taxes on SUVs and luxury cars will increase to 53 per cent.

"When I first heard reports that he had herpes I couldn't believe it..."

Later, she says a security guard came up to her and asked for her number because Usher was "interested in her". According to Sharpton, following the show she and several friends returned to their hotel when she received a call from a blocked number asking her where she was staying. Again, that's if Usher actually has herpes.

"About an hour later, he arrived".

"Although I am negative, I am upset by the reports because I never would have consented, if I would have known".

However she contacted Bloom as she felt her "rights were violated" as she was placed at risk of contracting an incurable disease. We spoke for a while, and then we engaged in sexual contact. "At least one of my clients has tested posted for the virus and alleges that it was Mr. Raymond who transmitted it. News reports can be wrong, and only medical tests can answer the question here". "He never warned me about any STDs", Sharpton said.

LawNewz.com is attempting to reach out to a representative for Usher.

"No one in America, not even a popular celebrity, is above the law", Bloom said.
