Gearbox Software Teases new first-person shooter codenamed Project 1v1

The developer recently announced that they are now working on a new first-person shooter, which is tentatively titled Project 1v1.

Details are sparse at the moment, with a quick scan of the Project 1v1 website giving nothing but a few background screenshots and a quick rundown of the three modes that will be available: Ranked, Challenge and Arena.

A new top-secret competitive first-person shooter is in development by Gearbox Software, the creators of Borderlands and Battleborn. According to Gearbox, it is looking for a limited number of players to test the game's online infrastructure and learn what players think about the game in order to inform and influence its future development.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis returns to training camp, issues statement
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Lewis appeared to be favoring a leg Monday and was using a cart much more than usual. The Bengals head coach is entering a contract year in 2017 and is coming off his first losing season (6-9-1) since 2010.

We're positive we'll hear more about Project 1v1 (obviously a code name) sometime in the near future. Anyone interested in testing this upcoming game can sign up via the Shift website here.

With even the announcement website's FAQ being listed as "coming soon" there is no time frame on when we will get to see Project 1v1 in action. Because the servers are based in North America, Gearbox warns that global players may experience decreased performance. We also know that players can earn crates and new cards by defeating opponents in the game's ranked mode. Meanwhile Challenge, consists of challenging a friend in an unranked match. And lastly Arena matches pit players against the current champion in an effort to take their top spot.
