Lenovo launches K8 Note with dual camera, 4GB RAM at Rs 13999

Overall For the price, the Lenovo K8 Note appears to be a worthy competitor to Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4 which is now one of the best smartphone in the sub Rs 15,000 price segment.

The Lenovo K8 Note is a budget phablet offering from the Chinese OEM that aims to take on the like of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The launch is slated to start at 12pm, but as with any tech launch nowadays, expect a delay of a few minutes. The smartphone will be available for sale from exclusively via Amazon India stating 18 August at 12 PM.

The Lenovo K8 Note has dual rear cameras.

This also marks a change in manufacturer since its predecessor, the Lenovo K6 N from previous year, employed the Snapdragon 430 system on chip (SoC) from Qualcomm.

Looking at the price point and specifications on offer, the Lenovo K8 Note will compete against the Honor 6X.

The stock Anrdoid makes it the first device in the "Killer Note" series to run on pure or stock Android, giving users a smooth and secure experience with all of Goo'le's services including Google Assistant. The front facing selfie snapper of 13P has an LED Fash too. The key, however, can also be assigned to open an app of user's choice to work like a shortcut key. It has a dedicated music key on it that allows you to control the music. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is located on the back.

Meanwhile, in its more recent Geekbench visit, the Lenovo K8 Note establishes itself to be the more powerful handset out of the two. It also comes with comes with Lenovo's usual Theatermax tech and Dolby Atmos.

"On the front, there is a 5.5" FHD display with wide-viewing angles.

It comes in two colours in fine gold and venom black. The dual rear cameras of the K8 Note are mated with a PDAF and a dual LED flash.
