This weather pattern looks to continue through Monday morning with hit and miss storms nearly at any time with highest chances being early in the day then again late with most of the day dry. This will help to heat temperatures back into the upper 80s and low 90s towards the end of the week and weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies in the morning and partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.

We won't get out of the 80s today due to clouds and showers; the average high for August 7 (at Birmingham) is 91. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 8 miles per hour in the afternoon.

On Monday, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m., which will continue into the evening. It likely stays cloudy into Monday with the chance for rain, and it also remains in the mid-80s. Lows will be in the mid 70s. Chance of rain around 60%. Remember, our average high temperature for this time of the year remains 90°.
