Gionee India unveils 'A1 Lite' at ₹14999

Talking about the camera department, the Gionee A1 Lite has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 20-megapixel front camera that comes with soft LED flash. The device will be available across all retail stores in India from 10 August 2017. The A1 Lite aims to compete with heavy hitters such as the Moto G5 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 on the basis of its 20MP selfie camera and sizeable 4,000mAh battery. The device is unlocked in 0.3 seconds by a fingerprint sensor which is placed below the rear camera. The smartphone priced at Rs 14,999, comes as the Chinese smartphone company's latest offering in the budget smartphone segment with adequate features. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor paired with Mali T-720 GPU to take care of graphics.

Commenting on the launch of the new Gionee A1 Lite smartphone, Mr Alok Shrivastava, Director - Business Intelligence and Planning, Gionee India, said, "India is an extremely important market for us and we have our full focus on bringing in customized products for the Indian consumer".

Gionee A1 Lite is the third smartphone in the A-series, after the A1 and A1 Plus.

The Gionee A1 Lite was first launched in June in Nepal, and has now arrived in India for Rs. 14,999. On offer is 32 GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via hybrid microSD slot (up to 256 GB). It has 3GB RAM and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Amigo 4.0 UI on top of it. Powered by 4-cell technology, the front camera captures more light than before resulting clearer and more handsome selfie.

The timing and venue of gathering has not been announced, as it is not known how long he would take to reach Lahore. He, however, continued as the president of PML-N.

Gionee has also partnered with Airtel and Paytm to roll out some offers this time on purchase of the A1 Lite.

In terms of connectivity, the Gionee A1 Lite is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts two Nano-SIM cards. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Global Positioning System among others.

Gionee A1 Lite is backed by a 4000mAh battery and the company claims that users can enjoy uninterrupted usage for up to 30 hours regardless of web browsing, reading or even consuming video content. The smartphone measures 150.5 x 74.4 x 8mm.
