Armed police descend on hotel in Salford after child hit by vehicle

Several media have reported that up to 15 police cars and three ambulances were on scene at a hotel on the Salford Quays at about 9.30pm.

The child is reported to have been hit by a auto in the hotel's rear vehicle park, which connects to a Marriott hotel next door.

Greater Manchester Police has confirmed it was not firearms related.

Other reports said a child had been run over in the hotel's carpark before the raid.
