Guardiola defends Man City's big spending

With Man City spending around £202m on first team players and an astonishing £159m spent exclusively on defenders and goalkeepers, it would appear that Pep Guardiola finally has the right back line and goalie at City.

Everybody knows that Guardiola's game big time depends on full backs so it's no wonder that City spent nearly £150m on Kyle Walker, Benjamind Mendy and Danilo, while other two signings are potent midfielder Bernardo Silva and Primeira Liga's best goalkeeper Ederson.

Pep Guardiola is unmoved by Manchester City's standing as pre-season favourites for the Premier League title.

March believes that the high transfer fees are a reflection of the quality in the league but says Brighton are not intimidated by bigger teams or anxious by the general consensus that they will be relegated after just one season.

If you bet £25 on any player to top the table at the end of the season, we'll give a £5 free bet every-time they score in the competition. The full backs are young - Mendy, Kyle, Danilo. Brighton will need to try and stop City's possession game which is far easier said than done with players such as David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne pulling the strings.

PREMIER LEAGUE new boys Brighton officially hit the big time when they kick their season off against Manchester City.

Guardiola also pointed out City were not alone in the high-spending stakes during a summer which has seen the world transfer record smashed with Neymar's £200.6million move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. Guardiola will want to get off to the ideal start and will be eyeing Brighton as potential to do just that.

"We know from working in preseason on the training pitch what our game plan is going to be in most games".

2 trains collide in Egypt, killing at least 25
In Egypt's deadliest train accident, in 2002, 373 people died when a fire ripped through a crowded train south of the capital. The collision involved one train that had been traveling from Cairo and another from Port Said, according to Al-Ahram.

Brighton secured a return to the top flight of English football last season after 25 years of absence, and they're starting it with one of the most hard fixtures of the season.

"The club was clever like that because we anticipated what we needed".

Guardiola seemed unprepared for the rude physicality of English football and was derided for saying he was "not a coach for the tackles" after a one-sided 4-2 defeat at Leicester City. "The market is what it is but sooner or later it is going to finish".

The Citizens have been Premier League champions twice in the last seven seasons and with Pep Guardiola still on the bench enter this season with the biggest favorites, alongside Chelsea, for picking up the trophy.

"The teams that arrive, in the first four, five, six games they are so complicated".

But the Catalan said: "I feel the same pressure".

There is likely to be at least one more addition, with Chris Hughton yet to land the No.9 competition/complement to Glenn Murray which he has been seeking, but the heart of the team from last season - and hence the great team spirit - has been retained.
