Manchester United move 'all over' as Gareth Bale starts for Real Madrid

Isco starred for Real in their 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the Uefa Super Cup on 8 August.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has pleaded with his club's board to renew their pursuit of Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale and offer in excess of £100m.

"He's a great manager, he's done everything in football, he knows what he's doing and I'm sure he's building a great team for what he hopes to achieve there".

Real Madrid have been linked with Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe this summer, with suggestions if the France worldwide is signed it would affect Bale's playing time at the Bernabeu.

Real captain Sergio Ramos also spoke on BeIn Sports, admitting the team had suffered a bit late on when Mourinho's men went more direct, but adding that overall they had been much the better team.

"I am enjoying my football here, I am playing as much as I can and I'm winning trophies so that's all I am concentrating on. There is a lot of games, it's a long season but I expect us to do well".

"I haven't had any of those conversations".

Billion pound deal to change West Midlands rail operator
West Midlands Rail will have lead the contract management of the services in the West Midlands business unit. The West Midlands network of trains and infrastructure will be run by a local team.

Bale lined up alongside French striker Karim Benzema up front in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and laid on the pass for Isco to net Real's victor.

And the Super Cup win makes it the 11th successive global final the Spanish giants have won. "We've spoke, they're happy with everything and, yeah, for me, I just want to concentrate now on getting fit, on getting ready for the new season and playing as well as I can".

The Los Blancos coach told BeIn Sports afterwards that his team had been "spectacular" in the first half and praised the hard work put in by his players and staff as they continued their winning ways.

Mourinho was also left unhappy at Casemiro's first goal not being ruled offside and saw Romelu Lukaku score on his competitive debut despite earlier fluffing an easy chance.

"But we gave them a good fight".

Lukaku managed to pull one back for United with a close-range finish and Mourinho was quick to praise the Belgium worldwide striker at the end of the game.

The win over Manchester United to claim the Super Cup trophy will be a big boost for Real Madrid as the season is on the way.
