Trump thinks he should have been even harder on North Korea

The panicky Late Show host blamed the President for the situation: "Donald Trump saw their threat of apocalypse and raised them one armageddon".

H played the clip of Trump saying, "they will be met with fire and fury and, frankly, power the likes of which this world has never seen before". He added that, "The great leaders I've seen don't threaten unless they're ready to act, and I'm not sure President Trump is ready to act". "You're going to get us all killed!" "You using that phrase".

S&P closes barely lower despite N. Korea tensions
The market slide accelerated slightly in the last half-hour of trading as Trump denounced North Korea's nuclear program . The general also outlined plans to launch four Hwasong-12 ballistic missiles to strike the sea around US territory Guam.

Nelson says he's anxious North Korea's ability to put a nuclear device on a long-range missile will only embolden dictator Kim Jong-Un. Meanwhile, North Korea's whole shtick is being dismissive of everything the United States does, so it makes sense that Trump's go-to reaction is to lash out with loud and blusterous threats of violence. Nearly immediately, Tillerson, seeking to fix the damage, told Americans (but not South Koreans) that they should "sleep well at night" because he had no "concerns about this particular rhetoric", meaning, it seems, the president's particular rhetoric. "That means they don't participate in the elections!" .
