Chandigarh stalking: Vikas Barala, friend sent to judicial custody till Aug 25

Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala and accused in the high-profile Chandiarh stalking case, has been sent to the judicial custody till August 25.

On Thursday, defence counsel Surya Prakash Garg had pleaded "not guilty" for the accused.

The police cops submitted an application asking for their judicial remand for 14 days.

The duo had been earlier remanded in police custody for two days till August 12. The court allowed the application and the two will now be produced in court on August 24. Regarding the incident, there was a huge outrage on the streets and in Parliament.

But it's going to finish. "Hopefully next season I will be here and we are not going to spend how we have this season". He added: "But we prefer to be aggressive without the ball, it's the same as last season".

Director General of Police, Chandigarh, Tajender Singh Luthra said they were arrested on charges of attempt to abduction and IPC 365 and 511 have been filed against them. He told the court that "neither any kidnapping nor any molestation or any other offence was committed", adding that the case was "just a media trial".

August 10 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday urged the Opposition not to politicise the Chandigarh stalking case and asserted that the law will take its course in the case. Police sources said during interrogation, both the accused denied if they stalked or tried to abduct the disc jockey (Kundu). They were, however, granted bail the same day.

Vikas and Ashish were earlier been arrested on August 5 on the complaint of the victim - daughter of an IAS officer, who had accused them of chasing her auto and trying to kidnap her. He assured action against his son.
