EPL: Arsenal Set to Open Season against Leicester Tonight

After two straight opening day defeats, and a series of failures in the league, this really is no-more-excuses time for Wenger, who, amidst much objection, signed a new two-year contract.

The Foxes are yet to beat Arsenal in the Premier League.

Arsenal are reportedly "on the verge" of tying Mesut Ozil to a new contract, with the Germany global indicating he is prepared to accept the £225,000-per-week deal on the table from the Gunners.

Bordeaux, a club Mendy was desperate to join, have since moved on and signed someone else, while Saint-Etienne are still hovering, but can only put together a loan with a view to buy, which Leicester don't want. One was a corner, one was a ball we lost in the build-up and the third goal was a corner again.

Despite making such significant investments, Guardiola claimed City have actually saved money by getting the majority of their transfer business done earlier in the close season. The club has also signed Leicester-born Coventry player George Thomas who can play as a forward or midfielder increasing their options.

The English teams didn't fare too well in the UEFA Champions League last season and some of the signings made by the top teams in the country go on to show that they mean business this time around.

Glendale College to host viewing of the Great American Eclipse
The National Park Service is encouraging visitors to prepare to have a safe viewing opportunity during the eclipse. If you're planning on viewing the August 21 phenomenon, you'll want to have your eyes protected to prevent damage.

We had to claw it from the brink of disaster though, as with les than 10 minutes on the clock we needed two goals to get the three points, and we got them thanks to the subs.

Riyad Mahrez expressed his desire to leave last season. "But we try to win the game".

Chicharito is one of the big arrivals at West Ham United this season.

Brighton and Hove Albion - Although in my bottom three, I see this as a great opportunity for Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan as he's going to be very busy.

He is set to mark his debut for his new side in next Sunday's Premier League encounter against Brighton at the AMEX Stadium. I feel the same pressure at Barcelona when I arrived.

So tonight should be a formality for Arsene Wenger's side and during Thursday's press conference the Frenchman said the squad "looked good" after its pre-season workout.
