Alexis Sanchez Likely Out Two Weeks with an Abdominal Injury

Arsene Wenger, the Gunners manager, has insisted Chilean striker Sanchez will remain at the Emirates Stadium this season and see out the rest of his contract, which expires next summer.

Wenger said Sanchez would not have started against Leicester even if he wasn't injured.

Sanchez's last game was the Confederations Cup final for Chile on July 2 and he was given an extended summer break. The Gunners get the new season underway as they take on Leicester City at the Emirates tonight.

Arsene Wenger is hopeful new signing Alexandre Lacazette can follow in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and transfer his sensational goalscoring ratio into the Premier League. "He had a little abdominal strain that he caught in training on Sunday morning before he came to Wembley".

Eighty two long days we have waited patiently for the return of the Premier League and thankfully Arsenal fans have to wait a day less than most others.

"That's unmanageable so to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it". "And I think we're going to reach that level as a football team in the next couple of years".

USA allies Japan and South Korea quickly vowed a strong reaction if the North were to follow through. Military officials say they plan to move ahead with large-scale U.S.

However, the new signings have dried up and Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are yet to sign new deals so there are still plenty of question marks to an answered heading in to the new season. It's not like they are going to sell him for £50m and take £200 of everybody's season tickets because we've sold our best player.

"I think back to Manuel Pellegrini's time last season at Manchester City".

Guardiola is said to still be a huge fan of the Barcelona stalwart, who helped him win 14 trophies in his five years at the Camp Nou.

"I think we are not open to any offers anyway". "I have players coming back who have not played, like Mustafi". They are on (Kylian) Mbappe's case, that's what I read in the papers.

There have been a number of changes to the Arsenal squad in the transfer window. Now they look to get off to a strong start against Premier League new boys Brighton & Hove Albion.

Despite having only played 45 minutes for the club in last week's friendly against Sampdoria, the £35million signing impressed throughout the whole match in sweltering Macedonia.
