They say this is the same cat who wandered onto the field at Busch stadium Wednesday night. And you know what?

The Cardinals announced Saturday afternoon that Rally Cat, the field-crashing kitten who unknowingly teased Yadier Molina's grand slam against the Kansas City Royals earlier this week, is joining the 2017 Theme Ticket schedule on last minutes' notice.

Mark your calendars, because St. Louis' favorite cat is about to get a day of his own at Busch Stadium.

If there is any justice left in the world, Cardinals Cat will spend the next ten months working on a chain gang fixing a railroad.

Even if I, living with two decidedly lazy cats who are uninterested in sports beyond batting at the dudes running on the TV screen, do not understand the desirability of a loud, wide open field for a cat to lay in, I anticipate many more cat visits in sporting events in the future.
