The McLaren 720S and Rolls-Royce Dawn were ordered by Michael Fux, founder of bed in a box companies Sleep Innovations and Comfort Revolution.

The British sports carmaker has just unveiled a 720S model like no other, built at the behest of Michael Fux, a US-based entrepreneur, philanthropist and vehicle enthusiast. It was officially handed over in Monterey by McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt at the weekend, and was displayed in all its metallic pink glory on the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Concept Lawn on Concours Sunday. He had already asked Rolls-Royce to make him a vehicle painted in this color, and he simply asked MSO to use exactly the same color to paint his new 720S.

Fuchs is well-known in classic auto circles as a collector of brightly coloured exotica; he already has a McLaren 12C in the maker's signature orange, a purple 12C Spider and a bright metallic green P1. The British automaker says Fux will retain exclusive rights to the color for use on McLaren cars.

The exterior paint colour is a made to order shade through MSO.

The distinctive hue also features as a detail on the lightweight wheels, contrasting with the platinum finish of the alloy.

"Challenging the art of the possible to meet the most demanding customer requirements and then delivering beyond expectations are integral to the service that McLaren Special Operations offers". The upholstery, simply called MSO Bespoke White, is also a unique option and is joined by white Alcantara floor mats and white stitching. For what it's worth, a McLaren 720S in Luxury spec will run you about $280,500.

For this weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, McLaren unveiled a custom 720S made for USA collector Michael Fux, and it'll be the only one painted this color in the world.
