Instagram could soon allow sharing Stories on Facebook

If you could post simultaneously would it encourage you to share your Stories on Facebook as well? On the other hand, Stories on Facebook-owned Instagram are doing well and so Facebook might soon start showing Instagram stories.

Pictures taken from Instagram's in app camera can be posted to Facebook Story.

In a statement, an Instagram spokesperson confirmed the test, but declined to share more about the company's plans. "We have no other plans to share at this time". The option is located directly beneath the option to share it on the user's Instagram Story feed and just above the user's recent contacts. However, none of this has helped the abysmal usage of Facebook stories.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 India launch confirmed for September 12
The South Korean company could bring the 64GB and 128GB storage variants of the Note 8 to India. Internally, it rocks the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa core chip and 6GB RAM.

Three months later the site added a live video functionality to Instagram Stories. According to the company, close to 250 million people use Instagram Stories daily, and this is bigger than total number daily active users on Snapchat app. While Instagram has left rival Snapchat behind in terms of active users for the stories feature, Facebook has not been able to replicate that success, despite its claims of having 2 billion monthly active users. Perhaps by mixing Facebook and Instagram's Stories together, Facebook could solve this problem.

The Stories cross-posting feature is now being tested with a small percentage of Instagram users, a company spokesperson told Business Insider on Wednesday. It's entirely possible that Facebook could decide not to move forward with this, but it does present the opportunity to further promote its Stories feature and keep Snapchat's growth at bay.
